Library Visit of 13th and 17th July, 8th December 2017

     Hello everyone,

       I am about to publish another blog regarding our second Central Library visit. Though people find Library boring then also they have to visit it once in their lifetime because Library attracts them towards it, with all of its knowledge. Once we get the taste of entertainment it provides with all of its knowledge then we would get tempted towards it for its hypnotic magic easily.

  We the students of Department of English had another visit on 13^th and 17^th July 2017. The aim of this visit was to get well-acquainted with the books with which we would deal in the forth coming days and we bought some of the books to our Department Library for our ease.

Again we planned another Central Library visit on 8^th December 2017. It was also a successful visit.

        All the visits were carried out well with the help of the Committee members and also with the active participation of the students of both the semesters. Last but not the least I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad Sir for this idea of Library visit.

      

Library Visit 4th July 2017

     Hello everyone,

               

              

            As Library is considered to be very silent and boring place by people in most parts of the world but on the contrary it is also considered to be the place full of knowledge where every book in their silence opens up with new and unknown facts. In today’s world who wants to go to Library when we have become so techno-friendly but the realities which the books can show, technologies fail there. Books and libraries always welcome their readers open-heartedly whoever the reader might be.

        Here comes the first blog of Library Committee for the year 2017-18. Being a new Library Committee Head for this academic year I am very happy to share the first blog. It is very rightly said- that a leader can’t do anything all alone if he or she doesn’t have a backbone that is other supportive members of their own Committee, so I would like to Thanks all my Committee members for being my support to complete the first Library visit successfully. It would not be easy for me alone to manage both books and people without your support.

              We the students of Department of English (MKBU) had visited the Central Library of our University on 4^th July 2017. It was an Orientation Programme visit for both Sem- 1 & 3, where we got to know how to do things systematically inside the Library. There we got to know how to use the Book Deposit Machine through Digital Library Cards and how to search availability of books in Library through internet. We were shown different reading rooms and were said that we can access through the internet for other research papers and books rather than which are available in Library. We were very well instructed and guided by the Library Assistant over there.

    

                                Last but not the least I would like to thanks Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad Sir for inspiring us and imbibing in us the spirit of enthusiasm to visit Library.

Library Visit - December 2016

On 26th December 2016, Students of Semester 2 and 4 visited the Central Library of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. Even though we have reading material available to us through the Internet, there’s no place like the library. It is a disbelief that library is not relevant anymore. Students of Department of English visit library on a regular basis. This was the last visit of 2016.

Monthly Central Library Visit

Hello Friends,

Library Committee organises visit to Central Library every month. All the students of Semester 1 and Semester 3 willing participate in this academic activity. The Head of the Department, Dr.Dilip Barad supports and encourages this activity.

Every month different students of the library committee are given responsibility to carry out this monthly visit. All the students along with the in-charge and library head, visits Central Library. All the students then share the photos the books issued by them via Whatsapp. In this way, all the students can share the books of their interest.

In the time of digital era, not many students like to visit library. The students of Department of English happily visit library and issue interesting books. Some students also blogs the book reviews.

Hello Readers,

This blog is specially designed for the Library Committee of Smt.S.B.Gardi Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.

Many Committees work in this department under the guidance of The Head of the Department, Dr.Dilip Barad. In every academic year, a head is appointed from the senior students, who lead the committee.

“Knowledge is free at the Library; just bring your own container.”

Library is a place from where you get ample amount of knowledge. It depends on the readers how much they can grasp a cup, a bucket or a tank full of knowledge.

Why in this Digital era, Library is important???????

Because not everything on the internet is true!!!!
